HePIS was established in 2006 with the vision to enable the citizens of Greece to make the most of the capabilities of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for their professional and social development.

The mission of HePIS is to highlight the role of Information Technology and Telecommunications as a strategic axis for the development and prosperity of our country within the global competitive environment.

ΗePIS is at the forefront of international developments as a member of the CEPIS, the European Center for Women and Technology, Telecentre Europe, as well as its ongoing involvement in the European Commission’s initiatives and policies.

HePIS currently represents more than 3,500 members, ICT professionals and students, while 25,000 people have participated in its actions and initiatives by developing digital and social skills.

With the core values of collectivity, extroversion and social sensitivity, we intervene by implementing actions aimed at:

• Contributing effectively in bridging the gap between supply and demand in the ICT sector by providing appropriate supplies to the labor force of the country to join and grow in the industry
• Ensuring everyone has access to the IT and Telecoms technologies
• Highlighting the need for equal participation of women in ICT and to ensure their uninterrupted professional development.
• Mobilising all the forces of the Information and Communications Market and the State institutions to help our industry contribute to the growth of the economy, reduce unemployment and eliminate social exclusion.

We focus on the effectiveness of our actions by ensuring our credibility towards our members, partners and sponsors.

The Board of Directors of HePIS consists of eleven (11) members, six (6) of whom are elected by the General Assembly of the Partners and five (5) members of the General Assembly of the Members of the Company.
